SUPER SAFARI (Saint Catherine + Canyon + Dahab)

Departure from the hotel by jeeps to the Monastery of St. Catherine - visiting the Monastery, the Well of Moses, the Burning Bush and the Basilica of the Transfiguration.

Saint Catherine's Monastery is the oldest of today's Christian monasteries. It is located in a narrow valley at the foot of St. Catherine's Mountain and Mount Sinai, at an altitude of 1570 metres above sea level. Placed with the surrounding area on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The monastery belongs to the Orthodox Greeks. In the monastery there is a burning bush and the well of Moses.

St. Catherine's Monastery is the oldest functioning in the world. Located at the foot of Mount Sinai, it was built in a place where, according to the Book of Exodus, God was to reveal himself to Moses in the form of a burning bush. This shrub is still to grow in the courtyard of the monastery. The patron of the monastery is a martyr from Alexandria, murdered in 300. According to the tradition, the angels transferred her body to a nearby mountain, also named after her (this is the highest peak in Egypt, reaching 2629 m). Interestingly, in the monastery there is also a mosque from the 10th century, serving the Bedouins who work and protect the monastery. The monastery is open every day, except Fridays, Sundays and holidays, for a few hours before noon.

Canyons are one of the most interesting places not only in Sharm but all over the Sinai Peninsula.

The white canyon is characterized by an unusual color of rocks and exceptional silence. Its white in contrast to the sky makes an amazing impression. The crossing takes about two hours and ends in the oasis of Ain Khudra. Do not forget about water and headgear.

The colorful canyon is the third largest canyon in the world. It consists of sandstone rocks in shades of purple, yellow, red, gold and fuchsia. In some places, the rocks reach 40 meters in height.

This trip makes a huge impression for active people and those who like to spend time on the move. Because of guides, tourists have the opportunity to slip between narrow canyon corridors or go down a rope.
